Connect Stripe to Hoops

Learn how to connect Stripe to Hoops so you can accept online payments through SalesDocs, SalesPresentations, and SalesStores. Includes setup instructions, troubleshooting tips, FAQs, and payment considerations.

Connecting Stripe to Hoops allows you to accept online payments directly from SalesDocs, SalesPresentations, and SalesStores.

Once connected, customers can securely pay online using Stripe, helping you get paid faster and create a smoother purchasing experience.

Follow the steps below to connect your Stripe account and start accepting payments.


Step 1: Open Settings and Integrations

Click Settings and then Integrations in Hoops.

Step 2: Start Stripe Connection

On the Stripe tile, click Connect. You will be redirected to the Stripe Connect page.

Step 4: Enter Stripe Email Address

Enter the email address associated with your Stripe account. If you don't have a Stripe account, you can create one right here by simply entering the email address you'd like to use for your Stripe account.

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 5: Select and Connect Account

Choose the Stripe account you want to connect to Hoops, then click Connect.

If you have multiple Stripe accounts under the same email address, they will all appear here. Make sure to select the account where you want payments from Hoops to be deposited.

Step 6: You'll be redirected back to Hoops

You will be redirected back to Hoops automatically. After a few seconds, you should be connected to Stripe.

The status may show as pending initially. Click the blue icon to refresh the status. You may want to leave this for a minute between tries, Stripe validate the connection on their side which is not always instant.

Once the status says Active, your Stripe integration is live and you're ready to accept online payments through SalesDocs, SalesPresentations, and SalesStores.

Troubleshooting

If you’re having trouble connecting your Stripe account to Hoops, here are the most common issues and how to resolve them:

Connection stuck on “Pending”

It’s normal for the connection to show as pending for a short period after completing the Stripe flow.

  • Wait 30–60 seconds and click the refresh (blue) icon

  • Stripe performs validation on their side, which can take a moment

  • If it remains pending after a few minutes, try disconnecting and reconnecting




You don’t see your Stripe account

If your account doesn’t appear after entering your email:

  • Make sure you’re using the correct email tied to your Stripe account

  • Check if you have multiple Stripe accounts under different emails

  • Try logging directly into Stripe to confirm the account exists




“Something went wrong” during connection

This is usually caused by browser or session issues.

  • Try again in a private/incognito window

  • Disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers)

  • Ensure cookies and pop-ups are enabled

  • Try a different browser (Chrome is recommended)




Redirect loop or stuck on Stripe page

If you’re not redirected back to Hoops:

  • Refresh the page manually

  • Check that pop-ups are not being blocked

  • Retry the connection from Settings → Integrations




FAQs

Does Hoops charge any transaction fees?

Yes. Hoops applies a 0.8% application fee to all transactions processed through Stripe in addition to Stripe’s standard processing fees.




What Stripe fees should I expect?

Stripe charges its own processing fees (these vary by country and card type). Hoops’ 0.8% application fee is added on top of Stripe’s fees.

Can I connect multiple Stripe accounts?

You can only connect one Stripe account per Hoops account at a time.
If you have multiple Stripe accounts, make sure you select the correct one during setup.




Can I change my Stripe account later?

Yes. You can disconnect your current Stripe account and reconnect a different one at any time from Settings → Integrations.




Why is my Stripe account not eligible to connect?

Some Stripe accounts may be restricted or incomplete.

Common reasons include:

  • Account verification not completed

  • Unsupported country or currency setup

  • Compliance requirements not met

Log into Stripe to resolve any outstanding requirements.




How long does it take to receive payouts?

Payout timing is controlled by Stripe, not Hoops.
Typically:

  • First payout: 7–14 days

  • Ongoing payouts: 2–3 business days (depending on your Stripe settings)




Where do I see my transactions?

All payments processed through Hoops will appear in your Stripe dashboard.

You can log into Stripe to view:

  • Payments received

  • Fees deducted

  • Payout schedules




Do I need a Stripe account before connecting?

No. You can create a Stripe account during the connection process by simply entering your email address.
