Import Decoration Pricing

Learn how to import decoration pricing in bulk, including quantity breaks, setup costs, and vendor assignment.

You can add decoration pricing in bulk in Hoops using the Import Decorations feature. This is the fastest way to set up multiple decoration methods with quantity-based pricing.

Get Started

Navigate to:

Catalog → Add to Catalog → Import Decorations

Step 1: Download and Prepare the Template

Start by downloading the template file (also available at the bottom of this doc). This template includes example data to guide you.

Important:

  • Delete all example rows, but keep the first row (headers)

  • Do not change the header names — spelling and casing must remain exactly as provided for the import to work correctly

Add Your Decoration Pricing

Enter your decoration data into the spreadsheet, including:

  • Decoration Name

  • Category

  • Optional Setup Cost

  • Quantity-based pricing (price breaks)

Each row represents a pricing tier.

Example:

  • Screen Printing → Quantity breaks: 15, 25, 50

  • Embroidery → Quantity breaks: 1, 5

Different decoration types can have completely different quantity structures — this is fully supported.

Vendor File Requirement

Each import file must be tied to one Vendor only.

  • If you work with multiple vendors for the same decoration type (e.g. you have 3 outsourced embroidery suppliers), you must create separate files for each vendor

  • This ensures accurate purchasing workflows later

Step 2: Select a Vendor (Optional)

After preparing your spreadsheet, choose a Vendor during the import process.

  • In-house decorations → Usually you would leave Vendor blank, some users choose to have themselves set up as a Vendor.

  • Outsourced decorations → Select the Vendor you purchase from

Setting a Vendor allows Hoops to automatically generate Purchase Orders when these decorations are used.

Step 3: Upload and Import

  • Drag and drop or upload your completed spreadsheet

  • Click Import to begin

The import usually completes quickly, but may take a few minutes for large files.

Best Practice

Save your import files in a safe location.

You’ll likely reuse them when updating pricing in the future, which can save significant time.
