Create and Assign Tasks

Learn how to create and assign tasks to keep work organized and accountable. Set priorities, assign responsibilities, track progress, and ensure important actions are completed on time across your sales and production workflows.

Hoops allows teams to create and assign Tasks throughout the platform, helping businesses manage follow-ups, production actions, approvals, and operational responsibilities in a centralized and organized way.

Tasks can be created directly from the centralized Task List or within individual Customer Cards, SalesDocs, and Job Cards, allowing teams to manage work directly within the workflow they are actively working on.


Create Tasks Across Hoops

Tasks can be created from:

  • The Task List in the left-hand navigation menu

  • Customer Cards -> Tasks tab

  • SalesDocs -> Tasks tab

  • Job Cards -> Tasks tab

Creating Tasks within the relevant workflow helps ensure actions remain connected to the correct customer, quote, or production job.


Configure Task Details

When creating a Task, teams can define important workflow information including:

  • Task title

  • Due date

  • Assigned user

  • Notes or instructions

  • Linked Customers

  • Related SalesDocs or Jobs

  • Associated files

Assigning ownership helps ensure accountability while giving teams visibility into who is responsible for the next stage of work.

Tasks can also be linked directly to Customers, Jobs, Quotes, and files to help maintain context and improve workflow visibility.


Centralized Task Visibility

All created Tasks remain visible within the centralized Task List, allowing users to monitor:

  • Outstanding work

  • Assigned Tasks

  • Due dates

  • Workflow priorities

  • Task progress across departments

This helps teams stay organized while maintaining visibility across Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Fulfillment operations.
