Add, Rename and Reorder Board Columns

Learn how to customize your SalesBoard and JobBoard by adding, renaming, and reordering columns. Build workflows that match your business processes and give your team better visibility into sales, production, and operational activities.

Hoops boards are completely customizable, allowing you to build workflows that match the way your business operates.

Whether you want to track artwork approvals, production stages, customer follow-ups, purchase order dates, assigned team members, or custom operational data, you can create the exact board structure your team needs.

Start Small, and Evolve

Many businesses start with a simple board and gradually evolve it into a powerful operational dashboard that reflects their unique sales and production processes.

Add New Columns

New columns can be added directly from the board using the + button beside existing column headers.

Available column types include:

These building blocks allow you to create custom workflows tailored to your business.

For example:

  • Artwork Status

  • Purchase Order Status

  • Production Due Date

  • Assigned Decorator

  • Customer Follow-Up Date

There is no single "correct" board layout—the goal is to create a workflow that gives your team the visibility they need.

Rename Columns

Columns can be renamed to match your terminology and workflow.

To rename a column:

  1. Hover over the column header.

  2. Click into the column name field that appears.

  3. Enter the new column name.

  4. Press Enter or click away to save your changes.

The updated column name is immediately saved and becomes visible to everyone in your Hoops workspace.

For example, a generic Status column could become:

  • Lead Status

  • Artwork Status

  • Production Status

  • Fulfillment Status

  • Follow Up Status

Using clear, meaningful names helps teams understand the purpose of each column and creates a workflow that reflects how your business operates.

Reorder Board Columns

Columns can be dragged and dropped into any position. Simple hover over the column header, and click the drag handle.

As your workflow evolves, you may find certain information becomes more important than others. Reordering columns allows you to keep the most valuable information front and center.

Many businesses organize boards to reflect their process from left to right, creating a visual workflow that is easy for the entire team to follow.

Think Beyond the Default Workflow

One of the most powerful aspects of Hoops is that your boards are not locked into a predefined process.

Experiment with different columns, layouts, and workflows to create a workspace that reflects how your team actually works.

The more your board mirrors your real-world process, the easier it becomes to manage work, improve visibility, and keep your team aligned.
