Use JobBoard Views

Create focused JobBoard Views using filters and custom columns, giving each team a workspace tailored to the work they do every day.

Hoops JobBoard Views allow teams to turn a busy JobBoard into focused workspaces for different roles, departments, and daily priorities.

Instead of every user working from the full JobBoard, Views allow each team to see only the Jobs and information relevant to them. By combining Filters with Show/Hide Columns, you can reduce clutter, minimize scrolling, and quickly identify the work that requires attention.

Once configured, Views can be saved and reused, creating a more efficient and consistent workflow across your business.

Create Views Around Real Workflows

A useful View should answer a simple question:

What does this team need to see right now?

For example, a Purchasing View might display only Jobs where the Purchasing Status is:

  • To Do

  • In Progress

  • On Hold

This gives the purchasing team a dedicated workspace to manage supplier orders without needing to search through every active Job.

Combine Filters for More Focused Views

Views become even more powerful when multiple filters are combined.

Rather than filtering on a single status, you can create highly targeted workspaces that show only the Jobs meeting specific criteria.

Examples include:

Purchasing To Do

  • Purchasing Status = To Do

  • Account Status = Paid in Full

Artwork Awaiting Approval

  • Artwork Status = Proof Sent

  • Production Status ≠ Complete

Ready for Dispatch

  • Production Status = Complete

  • Shipping Status ≠ Shipped

My Urgent Jobs

  • Production Owner = Me

  • Priority = High

  • Shipping Status ≠ Shipped

By combining filters, teams can create dedicated workspaces for departments, meetings, daily task management, customer follow-up, production planning, or any other recurring workflow.

Common JobBoard View Ideas

The best Views are usually built around a team, workflow stage, or recurring task.

Popular examples include:

  • Artwork Queue — Jobs requiring artwork creation, revisions, or customer approval

  • Proofs Awaiting Approval — Proofs sent to customers that are still awaiting a response

  • Purchasing To Do — Jobs waiting on stock, supplier orders, or purchasing action

  • Production Queue — Jobs ready for production or currently in progress

  • Ready for Dispatch — Completed Jobs awaiting shipment or collection

  • My Active Jobs — Jobs assigned to a specific team member

  • Priority Jobs — Urgent Jobs requiring immediate attention

  • Accounts Follow-Up — Jobs with outstanding invoices or payment issues

These focused Views help each team work from a dedicated workspace rather than navigating the entire JobBoard.

Use Show/Hide Columns to Simplify Each View

A great View doesn't just filter Jobs—it also removes information that isn't relevant to that workflow.

Using Show/Hide Columns, each View can display only the columns needed by that team.

For example:

  • Purchasing View — Supplier, Purchase Order, Purchasing Status, Account Status, Due Date

  • Artwork View — Artwork Status, Proof Status, Assigned Designer, Deadline

  • Production View — Production Status, Equipment, Priority, In-Hand Date

  • Dispatch View — Shipping Status, Delivery Method, Tracking Number, Customer Address

  • Accounts View — Accounting Status, Invoice Status, Total Owing, Payment Status

Removing unnecessary columns creates a cleaner workspace and significantly reduces horizontal scrolling across larger JobBoards.

Save and Refine Views Over Time

Once a View has the right Filters and visible Columns, it can be saved and renamed for quick access.

Many businesses create Views for:

  • Artwork

  • Purchasing

  • Production

  • Dispatch

  • Accounts

  • My Jobs

As your workflow evolves, Views can be updated by changing Filters or visible Columns and then choosing whether to save the changes to the existing View or create a new version.

There is no single "correct" set of Views. The most effective Views are the ones that help your team quickly find, prioritize, and action the work that matters most.

Using JobBoard Views helps teams stay organized, reduce board clutter, and create practical workspaces that reflect how work actually moves through your business.
