Why is the image wrong?
Hoops uses a shared product catalog that is connected to supplier data. This means:
The same product data (including images) is used across many Hoops customers
Images are supplied by the manufacturer or supplier
We do not manually manage or override every image in the catalog
With such a large dataset, occasional image mismatches can happen, especially when:
A supplier has not provided a correct image
New colors or products are added without full image sets
The supplier image naming or structure is inconsistent
Can I fix the image in the catalog?
No — catalog images cannot be edited directly.
This is intentional because the catalog is shared across all users, and allowing edits would create inconsistencies and data conflicts.
What should I do instead?
You can quickly fix the issue where it matters most - your customer-facing documents.
Recommended approach
Upload your own image when creating:
This allows you to:
Show the correct product image to your customer
Maintain control over your presentation
Avoid delays waiting on supplier data updates
In most cases, this is the fastest and most reliable solution.
Why does this happen with some suppliers?
Some suppliers may:
Only provide back images for certain colors
Delay uploading images for new product variants
Have inconsistencies in how images are structured
If a correct front image doesn’t exist in the supplier data, it means:
Hoops cannot automatically display it
There is nothing to “fix” at the source yet
Will Hoops fix the catalog image?
Where possible, yes - but with some limitations:
If the supplier updates their data, the image will update in Hoops
If the supplier does not provide the correct image, we cannot create one
We may raise recurring issues with suppliers, but we do not manually override catalog images
When should I contact support?
You’re always welcome to report issues, especially if:
It appears to be a data mismatch rather than a supplier limitation
The issue is impacting multiple products
We’ll review and escalate where appropriate.
Key takeaway
The catalog is designed for scale and consistency, not perfection.
When an image isn’t right, the best approach is to override it in your SalesDocs or SalesPresentations, ensuring your customer sees exactly what they need — without slowing down your workflow.
