Add SAGE Products to a SalesDoc

Learn how to search and add products from SAGE directly into your SalesDocs. Import supplier products, access live pricing, add setup and decoration charges, and quickly build accurate quotes without manually entering product information.

You can search and add products directly from SAGE while building a SalesDoc in Hoops. This allows you to quickly find supplier products, load live pricing information, and add related decoration charges or setup fees without manually entering product details.

Before using this feature, you must first connect your SAGE account in Hoops. If you have not completed this yet, please see the Connect Your SAGE Account article first.


Search for SAGE Products

Step 1: Open the Add Items Toolbox

Click in the skeleton section on the left side of the SalesDoc preview. This opens the Add Products Decorations Additional Costs toolbox on the right side.

Step 2: Select the SAGE Integration

Click the SAGE tile.

This option is only available if your SAGE integration has already been connected in Settings > Integrations.

Step 3: Enter Search Criteria

Use the available filters to search for products in SAGE. You can:

  • Search by keyword or item number

  • Enter a product name

  • Filter by category or theme

  • Filter by colors

  • Set minimum and maximum price ranges

  • Search by quantity

You can use a single keyword or combine multiple filters for more refined results.

Step 4: Start the Product Search

After entering your search criteria, click Start Search.

Hoops will connect to SAGE and return matching product results.

Step 5: Select Products

Click to select one or more products from the search results.

You can add a single product or multiple products to your SalesDoc.

Refine Search Results

If needed, click Refine Search to adjust your filters and perform another search.

You can also control how many search results appear per page by scrolling to the bottom of the results list.

Step 6: Add the Product to the SalesDoc

Select the desired product and click Add Product.

The product image, details, and pricing information will be added to your SalesDoc using the current template settings.

Step 7: Configure Product Details

Once the product has been added, review and configure the product information.

You can:

  • Enter the required quantity

  • Select available colors

  • Choose sizes where applicable (some SAGE products may not include size information depending on the supplier data provided)

  • View the product MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) by hovering over the red indicator in the Quantity field
    Hoops will still allow the SalesDoc to be saved even if the MOQ has not been met.

  • Review the supplier buy price (this may automatically update based on the quantity entered)

  • Apply your markup to calculate the sell price
    (Default markup settings can be configured in your Hoops settings.)

Because SAGE supplier data can vary greatly between vendors and is often unstructured, Hoops imports the information as flexible text fields. This allows you to review, edit, and format the information as needed for your SalesDoc.

Scroll further down to view additional product information supplied by SAGE, including:

  • Setup fees

  • Run charges

  • Additional location charges

  • Full color upgrade pricing

  • Other decoration-related costs


Add Decorations and Additional Costs

Many supplier costs provided by SAGE can be added directly into your SalesDoc as decorations or additional charges.

Because SAGE supplier data can vary in structure between vendors, Hoops allows you to dynamically interpret and add these costs where needed.


Step 8: Add Decorations or Additional Charges

Any underlined pricing or charge information is clickable.

For example, you may see items such as:

  • Full color additional location

  • Setup fee

  • Run charge

  • Additional imprint charge

Hover the underlined item and choose whether this charge should be added as a decoration or as an additional cost.

Step 9: Confirm the Decoration or Additional Cost

Review the decoration or additional cost details, including the name and buy price.

Click Add to include it in the SalesDoc.

Once Added to the SalesDoc

After a decoration or additional cost has been added from SAGE, Hoops will treat it the same as any other decoration or additional cost item within the SalesDoc.

This means you can:

  • Edit the name or description

  • Adjust the buy price or sell price

  • Apply markup or margin rules

  • Change quantities

  • Configure tax settings

  • Reorder or remove the item if needed

Once added, these items behave exactly like standard Hoops decorations and additional costs, allowing you to fully customize the pricing and other details displayed within the SalesDoc.


Tips for Better Search Results

  • Start with broader keywords before applying filters

  • Try searching by supplier item number for exact matches

  • Use quantity filters to help narrow pricing-specific products

  • If a product is not appearing, try fewer search criteria first
